Ilhem Kallel is an Associate Professor at the University of Sfax, Tunisia, and a researcher in Computer Science and Engineering at ReGIM-Lab. Her work combines intelligent and bioinspired systems, optimization, and data science, intended to be integrated into educational environments that foster collaborative learning while taking emotional intelligence into consideration. She has authored publications in international journals and conferences, often addressing challenges aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Beyond academia, Ilhem is an active IEEE volunteer and leader, engaged with the IEEE Education Society, IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, and IEEE Women in Engineering. She has been recognized for advancing IEEE’s mission in Tunisia, Africa, and Region 8 through humanitarian technology initiatives, diversity advocacy, and student empowerment, while also taking leadership roles in organizing IEEE conferences and workshops that foster collaboration across academia, industry, and the global engineering community.
