Focus

Today’s Higher Education Institutions aim at providing their students with the necessary skills to make them employable and successful in their field. Therefore, more and more educators, researchers and practitioners are employing resources to equip students with 21st century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration and information literacy. These skills can be acquired through Active Learning.

Active Learning can be accomplished through teaching strategies that motivate students to actively become involved in their learning process either as individuals or in collaboration with others. These teaching strategies focus on student-centered approaches such as case- based, problem-based, project-based and discovery-based learning that foster communication, collaboration and sharing.
